Anyone staying on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday night between now and the end of June will get a free tour of the house at Newburgh Priory (which is a relaxing ½-mile walk through the village from the pub). Open on Wednesdays and Sundays, the house has breath-taking views of the White Horse of Kilburn and stands on the site of a 12th century Augustinian priory.

Coupled with a stay in one of our luxury bedrooms (perhaps the four-poster room), plus superb Yorkshire hospitality and food, there’s surely no better way to escape the hustle and bustle this spring.
