COVID-19 Update

We can not wait to welcome our customers old and new, even if things are a little different.

We are committed to keeping you safe during your visit to The Fauconberg so we have implemented a few measure to ensure Government guidelines are observed and your safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

Whether you fancy a bespoke gin, a pint of Yorkshire's finest with your friends or a meal with your family, booking a table is the new way to visit. Booking is easy, you can email reservations@thefauconberg.co.uk, call on 01347 868 214 or use our request a table booking system. If you arrive without a booking we will do our best to accommodate a table for you, but we would hate for you to arrive when we are fully booked so please try and make sure to book your table to avoid disappointment!

To maintain social distancing, we are implementing table service, a service that keeps you safe from crowds and relaxed in our tranquil surroundings. When you are ready to order, simply get the attention of our front of house team who will be happy to take your food and drink orders and bring them straight to your table. Sadly, drinks will not be served from the bar so enjoy being waited on hand and foot!

The Fauconberg Gin

There are additional cleaning measures in place throughout The Fauconberg. Every table will be cleaned and sanitised after each use and we ask kindly that you use the sanitisers provided when entering the pub and before and after touching common surfaces, such as doors. Our staff will have their temperature checked before every shift.

Initially, we are serving a slightly reduced menu. The food will be presented in our disposable takeaway containers to minimise the risk of cross contamination between tableware. We will begin to reuse crockery and usual cutlery as we feel safe to do so but we want our visitors to feel confident whilst dining with The Fauconberg.

To further reduce crowding, and increase cleanliness, we have introduced a one in, one out system to the toilets. The system is monitored by a light which is controlled by you! Upon entering the toilet we ask that you press the light switch which will turn the light red, indicating the toilet is in use. When leaving, there is a switch on the inside which will revert the light to green, a simple but effective way to ensure the safety of our visitors throughout.

Our final request is that children remain seated where possible. If your children bring tablets to play with, it is requested they use headphones to prevent loud noise in and around The Fauconberg.

As always, dogs are always welcome to visit.

The Fauconberg Gin

We want to thank you for visiting The Fauconberg and taking note of our Covid update. As time moves forwards and Government guidelines alter, we will work in correspondence to the rules. Our priority is your safety and creating an environment where you can safely socialise, visit the countryside and escape to long overdue relaxation. By playing our part and implementing these changes we are helping pave the way back to normality, but for now our new normal is here!

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you very soon,

Annelies & The Fauconberg team
