At the Fauconberg we are more than just a pub, we’re a unique country getaway for the perfect romantic stay, family break or a base for your walking and cycling holiday based in North Yorkshire.
Set in the picturesque village of Coxwold, The Fauconberg is amidst the rolling green countryside of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
Our rooms are all bespoke, beautifully furnished and with quality en-suite facilities. Each room has their own unique name, and therefore their own unique setting. The Garden Room is our newest creation, full of character for that perfect stay.
Super glamorous glamping springs to mind when we think of this room. It is the perfect option for those who wish to be close to nature in our beautiful surroundings in Coxwold. But, when we say glamping, we really mean glamping with upmost luxury.
The Garden Room has a comfortable choice of a double or two single beds, sofa, cosy log burner, kettle and an outside tap. Plus, if you would like to be totally self sufficient, we supply a small barbecue to allow you the joy of cooking for yourself (please bring your own BBQ coals). We are also dog friendly, so if you would like to bring along your beloved companion please do, you can even bring them up to the pub with you too so they don't miss out! There are plenty of great walks for them in and around Coxwold.
Next to the outdoor bedroom, there is a shed with a hot gas shower and self-composting toilet unit. We pride ourselves on striving to make more eco-friendly choices and our incredible self-composting toilet has been a hit with our guests!
If cooking for yourself isn’t quite on your agenda when you come away to relax then you can stroll up to the pub for a few pints of Yorkshires finest and/or a bottle of Fauconberg branded wine to enjoy with a great value delicious home cooked meal. The Fauconberg bar prides itself on supplying the finest, locally sourced Yorkshire produce to create wholesome classic country food.

The lively bar hosts many a great night from the monthly pub quiz to Burns’ night celebrations there really is something for everyone to enjoy. In the mornings, guests can enjoy a full English breakfast along with toast and jams, cereals, fruits and yoghurts all served with tea, coffee and juice.
The best way to describe the Garden Room is ultimately, a peaceful seclusion. Located in the rear grounds of The Fauconberg, its seclusion allows for you to enjoy being at the heart of nature with all of your facility needs.
Family-run estates, ancient ruins and places of historical and cultural importance are just around the corner. Visit Byland Abbey, Newburgh Priory Estate, Rievaulx Abbey or Shandy Hall and enjoy a fantastic weekend away in North Yorkshire. There is plenty to see and do around our beautiful North Yorkshire village.
