Hunting Bears are a five-piece folk band based in Leeds. Their unusual setup includes celtic harp, bulgarian tamboura and full band vocal harmonies. Hunting Bears look to
contemporary and iconic artists for inspiration, including Joanna Newsom, Bon Iver, Dirty Projectors and Loudon Wainwright III. Recently they recorded a number of live videos around Leeds with local film company The Blind Club. The video for song “Heavy Tree”, shot in Leeds Town Hall Clock Tower, went viral shortly after release, clocking over 25,000 views online and featuring on cult blog Boooooooom.com.
In August they took their act to Greenman Festival after being shortlisted from 500 bands to play the festival.
